He’s chosen Two-Weapon Fighting, enabling him to add his ability modifier to a second, off-hand bonus action attack.įor his Blade Flourishes, whenever Dorian uses the Attack action, his speed increases by 10 feet until the end of his turn, and on a hit, he can choose to use one of three flourishes. Dorian is a College of Swords bard, so he gets to choose a fighting style and has Blade Flourishes. Where he starts to differ from what we’ve seen from Scanlan in the past is his Bardic College. He also gets expertise on two skills, doubling his proficiency bonus on both Athletics and Performance. Jack of All Trades grants him a bonus equal to half his proficiency on any skills he’s not proficient with, and Song of Rest grants an additional 1d6 healing to all party members on every short rest, should he choose to use it. With Bardic Inspiration, Dorian can grant anyone but himself an additional 1d6 on an ability check or attack roll twice per day. He has all the bard features we’ve seen before, plus some new ones we haven’t, but everything’s straight out of existing books so far. Song of Rest: 1d6 (once every short rest)ĭorian Storm is much more straightforward. Jack of All Trades: Add +1 to all non-proficient skills This also increases Ashton’s AC and attack bonuses and their initiative. Since they were both odd numbers before the upgrade, this means both modifiers increase, along with all their associated skill checks and saving throws. Taliesin chose to split Ashton’s level 4 ASI between dexterity and strength, bumping both scores up by 1. Plus, once per day, his Merge With Stone ability allows him to cast Path Without A Trace on himself and the rest of the party. With Earth Walk, difficult terrain made of earth or stone does not cost them extra movement. To add to all of this, Ashton is also an Earth Genasi, which is from official source material. The damage type is again randomized, and does not depend on the type of rage that Ashton is currently in so far, we’ve only seen force, cold, and lightning damage. Second, with his Chaos Burst feature, Ashton can choose to deal additional damage to their attacks twice per day. Gravity seems to pull enemies towards Ashton and grant disadvantage on any attacks that aren’t directed at him, while Temporal Morass has similar effects to the Slow spell. As of right now, we’ve seen only two types: Gravity and Temporal Morass. What gets tricky is Ashton’s primal path the Path of Fundamental Chaos so far seems to be a dunamancy-flavored barbarian subclass with two known special features.įirst, whenever Ashton rages, they trigger a random bonus aura around them that has environmental effects against enemies. First off, Ashton is a barbarian, so they have all the typical level 4 barbarian features we all know and love: Rage, Unarmored Defense, and Danger Sense. Okay, we’re kicking off with a tricky little homebrew. Known rage types: Gravity, Temporal MorassĬhaos Burst: Deal additional 2d4 damage on an attack (2/day)ĭamage type is random, known types are force, cold, and lightningĪll Strength- and Dexterity-based skill and saving throw modifiers increase by 1
